ArtsRock to bring Galway to Nyack
NYACK - It'll be a week after St. Patrick's Day, but Sir James Galway and his wife, Lady Jeanne Galway, will hold forth with Irish tunes, nonetheless, when they return to First Reformed Church for "An Evening of Classical and Irish Favorites."
The ArtsRock presentation will find the musical pair joined by pianist Michael McHale for a concert that begins at 7:30 p.m. on March 24. The church is at 18 S. Broadway. Tickets range from $45 premium reserved to $25 general seating to $15 for students.
The Belfast-born flutist and 7-time Grammy nominee was last in Nyack in 2015. The puckish piper will be joined by his flute-playing wife.
RCA has released a 24-disc boxed set of Galway's complete album collection, which amounts to only a portion of his 97 albums, which have sold 30 million copies.
